Refund Policy

At Cantech Academy, we are committed to customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for our automated software development services.

1. General Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our digital services and custom software development work, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We strive to ensure all clients are satisfied with our services and will work diligently to resolve any issues before considering refund requests.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Services Eligible for Refund:

  • Initial Consultation Fees: Refundable within 7 days if no services have been rendered
  • Subscription Services: Eligible for pro-rated refund if cancelled within first 14 days
  • Unused Prepaid Services: Unused portions of prepaid service packages may be eligible for partial refund

Services NOT Eligible for Refund:

  • Custom development work that has been delivered and accepted by client
  • Completed consulting or training sessions
  • Services already rendered or partially completed
  • Third-party fees, licenses, or hosting costs already incurred
  • Projects where client has received deliverables and source code

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] with your refund request
  2. Include your invoice number, service details, and reason for refund
  3. Provide detailed explanation of any service issues or dissatisfaction
  4. Allow us opportunity to resolve issues before processing refund

We will respond to refund requests within 3-5 business days and process approved refunds within 10-15 business days.

4. Service Cancellation

Subscription Services:

  • Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time
  • Cancellation effective at end of current billing period
  • No refund for partial month of service
  • Access to services continues until end of paid period

Project-Based Services:

  • Client may cancel project with 14 days written notice
  • Payment required for work completed up to cancellation date
  • Client receives all deliverables completed prior to cancellation
  • Unused prepaid amounts may be eligible for partial refund

5. Service Guarantee

While we cannot guarantee specific results, we guarantee that:

  • All services will be performed with professional skill and care
  • Generated code will be functional and meet agreed-upon specifications
  • We will make reasonable efforts to correct any errors or defects
  • Services will comply with Canadian industry standards

If we fail to meet these standards, we will work to remedy the situation at no additional cost or issue appropriate refund.

6. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with our services, we encourage you to contact us immediately. We commit to:

  • Responding to complaints within 24-48 hours
  • Investigating issues thoroughly and objectively
  • Proposing reasonable solutions including rework, credit, or refund
  • Escalating unresolved issues to senior management

Our goal is to resolve all disputes amicably without need for formal proceedings.

7. Refund Methods

Approved refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for original purchase. Refund methods include:

  • Credit card refunds processed within 5-10 business days
  • Bank transfer refunds processed within 7-15 business days
  • PayPal refunds processed within 3-5 business days
  • Account credits applied immediately for future services

8. Partial Refunds

In some circumstances, partial refunds may be issued:

  • When portion of services has been delivered
  • For subscription cancellations mid-term (pro-rated amount)
  • When project scope changes reduce total cost
  • As goodwill gesture for service quality issues

9. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Third-party software licenses purchased on client's behalf
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure costs already incurred
  • Domain registration and SSL certificate fees
  • Training materials and documentation already delivered
  • Completed work products and deliverables

10. Service Credits

As alternative to cash refunds, we may offer service credits:

  • Credits can be applied to future services
  • Credits are valid for 12 months from issue date
  • Credits are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Credit amount may exceed cash refund as goodwill gesture

11. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered outside normal policy in cases of:

  • Significant service disruptions beyond client control
  • Material breach of service agreement by Cantech Academy
  • Force majeure events preventing service delivery
  • Documented technical incompatibility after good-faith effort

12. Changes to Refund Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active clients.
